about

Another medley matching a traditional tune with two by prolific modern composers. Sophie learned Altan’s Reel from her mother, Jane Orzechowski, who played it with Bob McQuillen and flutist Deanna Stiles in their band Old New England. The last tune, like many of Ed Reavy’s compositions, has quickly become an Irish session staple.
