about

We learned Jamsey Gannon’s from the playing of Sligo fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada and his band Téada; it was also recorded by Michael Gorman. Pete’s March was written by Sophie’s mentor and contra dance legend Bob McQuillen for banjo player Pete Colby. Pete, his partner April Limber, and Bob formed a band called New England Tradition. Sophie plays April’s fiddle, which was given to her by Bob.
